Introducing the Dada collection...

The seven-piece AW24 collection consists of four jumpers and three skirts.

The collection takes inspiration from the Dada art movement. A European avant-garde art group whose aim was to create art that transformed daily life for the public, turning it from a vapid and banal experience to an imaginative and creative one.

The Dadaists considered society deeply dehumanising and wished to shock the public out of passivity and the grind of an economy-focused society, through artistic interventions on the street.

The three skirts feature collaged works - the Dada Slit Skirt is a montage of text incorporating provoking headlines, whilst the  Höch A-line skirt from the collection is printed with a photomontage. The Metropolis A-Line Skirt offers an edit of a screen print of an original urban photograph by Luke Pickering, a Manchester based photographer.

The skirts are constructed from a lustrous deadstock fabric up-cycled from a luxury French maison. The prints of the skirts were screen printed close to our studio in Birmingham and retain the idiosyncrasies of the process.

For this season we developed two new knitwear styles; the deconstructed Sélavy Knit, a cut-out style available in vibrant orange or black. Plus the Edie Knit with a cinched waist and extended ribbing on the waist and arms.

The collection is all made in the UK - the four jumpers are crafted in Hawick, Scotland and the three skirts are constructed in Somerset, England.
