The 'I am a Poseur' skirt features a screen print of a collage by Poly Styrene. The artwork includes the album title GERM-FREE ADOLESCENTS and imagery of sexual contraception from the era.
We collaborated with Poly's daughter Celeste Bell on this second collection and we're proud to celebrate Poly Styrene, who is only just beginning to receive the recognition she deserves; she was a true revolutionist. Her music and art inveighed against mainstream institutions, disposable culture, conformity and our alienation from the natural world.
The skirt is originally screen printed in London on our classic slit silhouette.
