The ‘Orlando’ skirt has been designed with oversized stills from Swinton’s celebrated 1992 film with Sally Potter. The front and back of the skirt features Nobleman Orlando and Lady Orlando between 1603 and 1992 on Orlando’s journey of radical transformation.

HADES studio collaborated closely with Swinton at every step of the design and manufacturing process. This process culminated in a collective June visit to the HADES manufacturing factory in Scotland, where Swinton met with the craftspeople who create the knitted jumpers and scarves in this collection.

The ‘Orlando’ skirt was originally screen printed by hand in England by Fiona. They have been constructed from 100% cotton in Somerset, England by Anna and Alla.

Every piece will be gifted with a zine that includes 3 essays on the films that inspired this collection and a manifesto for the protection of U.K. fashion manufacturing.
