    The ‘Mother’ cardigan is adorned with surrealist hands in black and red, and is inspired by Luca Guadagnino’s 2018 ‘Suspiria’ starring Swinton in three roles.

    HADES studio collaborated closely with Swinton at every step of the design and manufacturing process. This process culminated in a collective June visit to the HADES manufacturing factory in Scotland, where Swinton met with the craftspeople who create the knitted jumpers and scarves in this collection.

    The ‘Mother’ knit has been handcrafted in Scotland by Sharon, Shirley, Finlay, Sandra, Moira, Allan and Kevin.

    Every piece will be gifted with a zine that includes 3 essays on the films that inspired this collection and a manifesto for the protection of U.K. fashion manufacturing.

This knit is made from 100% wool.


We aim to use mostly natural fibres, which reduce damage to our planet. Our cotton is natural, ethically sourced, and completely biodegradable.
