The Newspaper Top featuring Edition 1 of ‘HADES News’ printed under the arm creating the illusion of being carried. Its headlines are inspired by the reactionary headlines and sensationalism found across UK news publications, including; ‘It’s only the end of the World’ and ‘10 ways to stop thinking’.

The Holding Things tops explore a range of objects and emotions: love, symbolised by a bouquet of carnations - the ordinary, everyday flowers you might pick up at the checkout, and arguably the best kind; deception, hinted at through superstitious crossed fingers; the sweet temptation of a cigarette; and the quiet illusion of carrying a newspaper.

Handcrafted in England from 100% cotton.

How this top has been made

This long-sleeve cotton top is crafted by hand in England, just 47 miles from our studio, in a family run manufacturers that has been passed down through three generations. After construction the design on each top is originally screen printed by hand, each garment is created by one person pulling the ink across a screen and viola you have something that is unique and special.

Our ambition is to create clothing that you will cherish for years. As it becomes clearer and clearer the damage that consumerism is doing to our planet, we are making products which last.
